The Department of Architecture celebrates the accomplishments of its graduates, with two projects making the shortlist for the prestigious World Architecture Festival 2024. Ar. Leslie Tom Pagaduan (BSA 2007) and Ar. Gloryrose Dy-Metilla (BSA 2009) are the principal architects of their projects. These projects are among the eight from the Philippines to be recognized, and uniquely, they are the sole representatives from Davao City. The festival is scheduled to take place from November 6 to 8, 2024, at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

"Armor" by Prof. Bengan translated to Albanian

2024 070824 ARMOR BENGAN ALBANIAN

"Armor: Stories" by UP Mindanao Assoc. Prof. John Bengan (Dep. of Humanities) has now been translated into the Albanian language by OMBRA GVG Publishing House, one of Albania's most well-known publishing houses. Its publications include a carefully selected variety of the most well-known classical and modern authors worldwide.

Prof.Bengan's "Armor" was a finalist in the recent 41st National Book Awards for short fiction in English and received the 23rd Madrigal Gonzalez Best First Book Award.
