UPMin earns Three-Star Rating for Energy Savings, 2022
UP Mindanao earned an Energy Audit rating of 85.57% from the Government Energy Management Program after a month-long study by a Department of Energy (DOE) Energy Audit Team culminating in an on-site visit on October 27, 2022. The rating, which is above the passing rating of 80%, has a descriptive rating of Grade B and an equivalent star rating of Three Stars. Among the energy audit markers are the electricity and fuel consumption and the observance of energy-saving practices.

Prof. Bayogan heads PhilFruits Association, 2022
Prof. Emma Ruth Bayogan was named as President of PhilFruits Association Inc., an NGO dedicated to creating a globally competitive Philippine fruit industry. Elected Student Council members, 2022
The University of the Philippines Mindanao Student Electoral Board (USEB) presented the list of OFFICIAL winners of the recent #Piniliay2022 student council elections on their Facebook page on October 1, 2022. The USEB reported 31 candidacies, of which 29 were under the Alyansa ng mga Aktibong Kabataan ng UP Mindanao (ANAK-UPMin) slate, and 2 were independent candidates.
The following are the official winners of the University Student Council (USC), College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS SC), College of Science and Mathematics Student Council (CSM SC), and School of Management Student Council (SOM SC).

Call for Abstracts: 1st FRAMEwork Asia-Pacific Communication Conference
Abstracts are still accepted for the 1st FRAMEwork Asia-Pacific Communication Conference to be held on November 24-25, 2022, on the theme "Disruptions and (re)constructions in the time of COVID-19: Turning the gaze on the Global South." Researchers may submit their research paper abstracts to framework@feu.edu.ph until October 31, 2022. The 1st FRAMEwork also presents a publication opportunity for research papers through its Asia-Pacific Journal of Communication.
The 1st FRAMEwork Asia-Pacific Communication Conference is the initial collaboration between UP Mindanao and the Far Eastern University (FEU), which was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed by UP Mindanao Chancellor Lyre Anni E. Murao and Far Eastern University President Dr. Michael M. Alba on October 21, 2022. The MOU aims "to create, encourage, and develop a harmonious relationship through the exchange, collaboration, and mutual development of programs for students, faculty members, and academic personnel."
